Marquis' own, internal development team is comprised of veteran designers, engineers, propulsion experts and modelers that represent literally dozens of decades of large yacht experience with committed expertise in all marine disciplines. To make Marquis a world-class yacht builder, new standards were established to ensure each project maintained a higher level of commitment through every step of the construction process.
The naval design firm of Nuvolari-Lenard, from Venice, Italy, is internationally renowned as specialists in the design and construction of large, high-end production and custom yachts. This firm's expertise results from their direct involvement in a wide range of yacht-building activities, from design to total project management, to customized interior design, to serving as surveyors and owner's representatives during construction, sea-trial and delivery. 
Nuvolari-Lenard collaborated with Marquis in the development of Marquis Yachts distinctively sculpted exterior architecture. Don Blount & Associates, based in Norfolk, VA is a naval architecture and marine engineering firm specializing in state-of-the-art technical services for the development and construction of high-performance marine vessels. This company has extensive experience in bringing advanced technology to the design, evaluation, testing and construction management of motoryachts, sportfishers, commercial and military craft. Don Blount & Associates collaborated with Marquis in verifying the structural and performance applications of Marquis Yachts.

Proto Engineering (1st and 2nd shift)
Pulaski, WI

Assisting in the development of plugs, molds, prototypes, patterns, tools, jigs and fixtures.  The desired product will be determined by Engineering through drawings and written instructions.  Includes working with wood, fiberglass and/or metal.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform a variety of operations using various power equipment including but not limited to table saws, cut-off saws, sanders, grinders, drills, drivers, air sanders, pipe benders, etc.
  • Working on plugs and molds
  • Assisting in the fitting, cutting, assembly and welding of metal mold frames and assembly jigs
  • Use of spray guns for the application of chop, gel coat and paint

POSITION SUMMARY

Employees assigned to this classification perform a variety of operations such as sanding, buffing, burring, and polishing of stainless steel, aluminum, etc.  Employers are directly responsible for work performed, as well as for maintaining prescribed safety, housekeeping and production flow standards.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs a variety of operations to include sanding, buffing, burring, and polishing metal parts and assemblies fabricated from aluminum, stainless steel, and mild steel.  Finishing of parts must conform to established quality standards and engineering specification. 
  • Performs materials transportation and handling functions to facilitate appropriate movement of supplies, parts and finished products into, out of and within the department.
  • Ability to understand and execute manufacture order requests and bill of material reports.
  • Ability to understand quality standards, engineering specifications and engineering drawings.
  • Monitors materials requirements and notifies appropriate support function(s) of potential shortages in order to minimize production delays.
  • Use of half face respirators is required when the presence of fumes, dust or other air contaminants are present.  Use of hearing protection devices is also required.
